My AIESEC journey
My AIESEC journey
I recently joined AIESEC in Leuven as Team Leader OGX (or Outgoing Exchange). Today I am going to update you on this journey.
Since October 2020 I have been volunteering at AIESEC in Leuven first as project coordinator sales, and now I am project coordinator marketing.
In a short time I have grown with my public speaking, usually not wanting to speak in front of an audience I now give most of the info sessions created by AIESEC in Leuven. I also learned how to best lead a team and to find a leadership strategy that works well for me and my members.
Between the terms, I also helped out with recruitment contacting people and giving the info sessions and LIC. Here I learned how to take interviews. Our goal was to get 12 recruits but we ended up recruiting 15 new members.
For my current position, I have been given lots of freedom from my supervisor given my extensive marketing background. I launched an Instagram ‘Day in the life of an AIESECer’ series in order to show potential recruits what it is like to be an AIESECer. Furthermore, my team and I have achieved our monthly goals with 120%, even breaking a record amount of 167 people that signed up for one of our events.
