Say yes to a bright future is a fictive pitch my fellow classmates and I made where we had to pretend to be a lobbying agency in Italy.

About this pitch

This pitch is an anti-legalization pitch against the legalization of marijuana in Italy. We had to pitch to a fictive group of the conservative association in order for them to choose our pitch to implement.

What is our goal?

Our goal is to change the publics perception on marijuana usage. We want to collect consensus to stop legalization of recreational marijuana in Italy.

How are we planning on doing this?

We want to show voters what happens if marijuana is legalized. Our focus will be on the emotional aspect of fear.

Picture a video in which people celebrate the legalization of marijuana by smoking joints. The video starts off with party vibes and music. And quickly the party becomes dire. Fast forwarding to a few years later negative effects are being shown. The effects become more and more serious and dire. In the end of the video we see this teenager being homeless and addicted. The video ends on the message: “Do you want our next generation to live like this? Vote against the legalization of marijuana and make sure our next generation stays smart”.

Why ‘say yes to a bright future’?

With our targeted campaigns, we play into the nationalistic and proud nature of the Italian citizens. After conducting research, we know that Italians are proud to say that they are smart. In our campaign we keep repeating the message that marijuana usage makes you dumber. We ask the older generation; “You are very smart. Do you really want the future generation to throw away your reputation?”.
